A Personal Discovery

I was an early-stage entrepreneur when I first discovered Neeman’s on my Instagram feed. Working on sustainable farming myself, I was instantly drawn to their merino wool sneakers. A new brand launching shoes priced at INR 6,000 was undeniably a bold move! As a customer with the financial constraints of entrepreneurship who still took the plunge, I became living proof of the product validation we discussed in our previous article on “The Rise of New Age Brands.”

The Founders’ Journey

Taran served as a Technical Lead in a US-based firm before venturing into Neeman’s. Amarpreet, the other co-founder, was heading a Hyderabad-based consultancy. Together, they possessed the expertise necessary to solve the complex challenges of building an imported fabric-based footwear brand.


From managing supply chain complexities to developing their branding strategy, from determining optimal pricing to creating both digital and physical storefronts, their journey represents “an emotional rollercoaster behind building Neeman’s, the why that continues to fuel them every single day, and the real challenges no one prepares you for.”


Where Neeman’s Stands Today

Seven years of painstaking efforts have transformed Neeman’s into a $32.5 million brand.


The company has successfully launched 18 offline stores across India and now offers more than 300 products in their portfolio.
